The orange strewn leaves signified the change of seasons, a crisp white frost lay over the forest floor. The stallion moved wearily, hooves dragging sluggishly and a significant limp in his step. He was tired and the cool nip of autumn bit feverishly as his ribs. A grunt left the horse as he gingerly lowered himself to the ground, leg not quite cooperating. Old injuries had reduced his movements and had seen him quickly loose weight and condition- unable to get around to decent grazing and sufficient water. he was tired, mentally and physcially, his bones and hooves ached and he knew he wouldnt make it to winter.
