It's summer time here in England, which means beautiful clear skies and that also means it's eventing season! This is a very relaxed and informal show, as its our first time hosting one.
This is a two day event, mostly focusing on the cross country side of things. Halter and a fun class are held on the first day and the second day is solely dedicated to cross country, entrants can stay over night in the estate house and stallions will be housed in the stable blocks, while mares will be turned out with our three mares.
Competition runs: Jun 12th - August 20th
Day 1- halter classes and vet check
Weather: Warm and sunny expected to be clear skies and around 24C / 75F
-- Vet check --
A simple trot up and leg check held outside the tea room- required event for anyone entering the XC
Day 2- cross country
Weather: warm but cloudy so feels cooler than yesterday. A light breeze. 22C / 70F
Hats and body protectors must be worn in this class
The main event! This is a fun, fast paced course set over the vast grounds of the estate. Fences here are not your typical cross country fences, they are mostly consisting of hedges, natural log jumps and some brick walls. Most fences are able to be easily knocked down and offer little chance of injury to your horses.
Course map. You are finished when you've landed the final jump under the archway
jumps and a little horse doodled in for scale ( horse shows is 16hh)

DI | Logan exit
The orange strewn leaves signified the change of seasons, a crisp white frost lay over the forest floor. The stallion moved wearily, hooves dragging sluggishly and a significant limp in his step. He was tired and the cool nip of autumn bit feverishly as his ribs. A grunt left the horse as he gingerly lowered himself to the ground, leg not quite cooperating. Old injuries had reduced his movements and had seen him quickly loose weight and condition- unable to get around to decent grazing and sufficient water. he was tired, mentally and physcially, his bones and hooves ached and he knew he wouldnt make it to winter. Logan sighed a heavy sort of wheeze and lowered his head, eyelids heavy he surrendered to the growing fatigue and settled into what would be his final sleep. ----- Exit peice for logan so i can start anew
